With a total of 33 movies of more than ten countries, July 1 the third edition of the International Festival of cinema GLBT The Peace begins on July 1. The movies in competition are:  O fantasma, L’ultimo giorno d’inverno, Otto or up with dead people, Más que un hombre y Westler. The shortfilms are: Martina, Torten im sand, Fresh air therapy, Toto forever, A oscuras y Diálogos lésbicos. The documentaries are: Transformismo no feminino, Cómo me hice gay, Los armarios de la dictadura y It is still elementary.

Before the Festival it will be carried out a Debate on sexual Diversity and Human rights June 29 and the Presentation of the documental "Marriages of the same sex" and of the book of poems "The face of God" June 30. All the activities are in the Bolivian Cinemateca.

The third edition of the international Festival of cinema GLBT La Paz that will be carried out from the 1 to the 7 of july 2010, presents big premieres of grateful director's movies among them: "Ghost" of Joao Pedro Rodrigues (Portugal), "L'ultimo giorno d'inverno" of Sergio Fabio Ferrari (Italy), "Otto, or up with dead people" of Bruce Labruce (Canada), "Ander" of Roberto Castón (Spain) and "Westler" of Wieland Speck (Germany).

They will also be projected documentaries of Jean-Baptiste Erreca (France) and Jurgen Bruning (Germany), Transformismo no feminino and other documentaries of Portugal and of the Basque country, shorts and documentaries of Argentina, Chile, Brazil, United States and other countries. There will also be surprises made in Bolivia.

The Festival organized by Diegofilms will take place in the Bolivian Cinemateca, with the support of the Fund of Emancipation (Bolivia), the Association Hegoak of Bilbao, the Embassy of Spain in Bolivia and the LGBT cinema net.

During the Festival Gay lesbian trans Zinegoak 2010, it was carried out on February 1st the Second Encounter GUNEA, the Ibero-American Space of Festivals LGBT in the city of Bilbao. They were present Joâo Ferreira and Claudia Craveiro in representation of Queer Lisbon, Diego Torres in representation of the Festival GLBT La Paz, Bolivia, Roberto Castón and Txema Gonzalo in representation of Zinegoak. For different reasons they couldn’t attend the representatives of Diversa (Argentina), Llámale H (Uruguay) and Lesgaicinemad.

The main decision of the Encounter was the election of a spokesman and general coordinator in the person of Txema Gonzalo and a regional coordinator of the American area in the person of Diego Torres of the Festival GLBT La Paz. The next meeting of GUNEA will be in Portugal during the Festival Queer Lisbon 2010.

The convocation opens up for the 3º GLBT Film Festival 2010 of the city of La Paz, organized by Diegofilms. The dates of the Festival are from the 1º to 7 July 2010. They will be able to participate all the films gay, lesbian, bisexual and transsexual, with preference those that highlight the topic of the Human rights.

The Festival grants the trophy Kiss GLBT to the best feature, documentary and best short film.

In the Latin American countries as well as in North America, there is a wide production of movies and videotapes on gay, lesbian, transsexual and bisexual subjects. In many of those countries exist important Festivals like Mix Brazil, Diverse of Argentina, Llámale H of Uruguay, GLBT La Paz of Bolivia and Cinemarosa of Queens New York organized by a team of Latin people.

The International Festival of Cinema GLBT La Paz directed by Diego Torres Peñaloza, it has organized in coordination with the Center of Independent Art, Tot Art from Valencia and FNAC San Agustín, the First Screening of Latin American Cinema GLBT, to offer the public from Valencia a selection of features, short films and documentaries.

The screenings are carried out from 16 to 19 November with 12 movies.

In the closing of the 2º International Festival of Cinema GLBT La Paz 2009, they were announced the winning movies of the Prizes " GLBT Kiss" that are granted for the first time to stimulate the audiovisual production in this gender "Kiss.

The Jury compound by the film directors Jac Avila (Bolivia), Amy Hesketh (USA) and also by Paris Galan (Federation GLBT of La Paz) and M. Eugenia Torrico (Adesproc), with the Director of the Festival Diego Torres announced the results of the voting. The prize to the best feature film was for "The Raspberry Reich" of the Canadian film director Bruce Labruce, as better documentary it was elected "Campillo, yes I do" of Spanish Andrés Rubio and as better short film “La espinita” (The small thorn) of the Basque directress Tania Arriaga. A Special Mention was granted from the Jury to the feature “Dos miradas” (Two Looks) of Sergio Candel from Spain..

This way it concluded the second version of the GLBT LA Paz Film Festival that exhibited during one week more than forty premiere movies in the capital of Bolivia.

In the Cinemateca of Bolivia it took place the premiere of the fourth feature film of Diego Torres Peñaloza the past July 8, with the director’s attendance and the actors and actresses of the movie.
The audience had a lot of expectation before the projection and later was surprised for the aesthetics and the contents of the movie, although there was coincidence in recognizing that “Candlelight love" has their director›s characteristic stamp.
In the next months the movie will be exhibited in several international film festivals.

The filmmaker and producer Diego Towers Peñaloza has carried out the filming of a new movie in La Paz. It is his fourth feature film after "The street of the poets" (1999), "Soul and the trip to the sea" (2003) and "The law at night" (2005).

The title of this new movie is "Candlelight love" and has as argument the histories of two girls, Moon and Venus, dedicated at work of the erotic massages.

The 2º International Film Festial GLBT La Paz, will be carried out from the 22 to the 29 of July of 2009 in the Bolivian Cinematheque. The Director of the Festival, Diego Torres Peñaloza attended the constitution of the Latin American Space of Festivals of cinema LGBT that took place at early February in Bilbao during the Zinegoak Festival.

The Festival Diversa (Argentina), the GLBT La Paz Film Festival (Bolivia), Zinegoak (Basque Country), Llamale H (Uruguay), Queer Lisbon (Portugal), LesGaiCineMad (Madrid) participate in this Latin American Space.

The sixth version of the International Festival of movies Gay-Lesbo-Trans Zinegoak of Bilbao will be carry out from January 30 to February 7, 2009. In this occasion also the First Encounter of Programmers and Directors of LGBT Film Festivals will take place.

To these two important events has been invited the filmmaker Diego Torres Peñaloza, Director of the Film Festival GLBT La Paz, who participates also in the Festival Zinegoak with its documentary "Orgullo a 3,600 m" carried out in Bolivia in 2008.
